The genetic profile, or genetic fingerprint, is the information contained in the DNA sequences of each person and is different for each individual. It is a unique numerical identification, similar to an identity document. First, the DNA is extracted from the provided biological sample. Then, a technique called PCR amplification is used to multiply certain parts of the DNA, called markers or loci, thousands of times. Each locus contains DNA parts inherited from the mother and father, called alleles, which are identified by numbers representing the number of repetitions of a specific DNA sequence. These allelic values together form the genetic profile of a person.

PROCESS:
Performing a Genetic Profile test is straightforward:
- Request the test.
- Take samples with a simple and painless buccal (cheek) swab.
- Send the samples for analysis. Once our laboratory receives the samples, they undergo a process of extraction and amplification.
RESULTS:
You will receive the report digitally within 5-8 business days after receiving the samples.
